The same MHS certification, at $777.

This is the official EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 practitioner certification, licensed by Multi-Health Systems Inc. Same curriculum, same Talent Assessment Portal, same credential, same continuing education credit. Other MHS-authorized providers publish prices from $1,699 to $1,795 for it. The price here is lower because the overhead is.

LeaderEI is independently run. There is no office, no sales team, and no layer of management between you and the trainer. James L. Castleberry is an MHS Master Trainer in the EQ-i 2.0, EQ 360, and Pearman Personality Integrator, and he leads every cohort himself.

The price

Why it costs less

Not a discount and not a shorter course. The hours, the license and the portal access are the same as any MHS-authorized certification.

What is missing is overhead. No premises, no sales team, no account managers, and no margin carried for any of them.

Emotional intelligence belongs in leadership as a standard, not as a line item somebody has to justify.

The trainer

Who leads it

James L. Castleberry is an MHS Master Trainer in the EQ-i 2.0, EQ 360 and Pearman Personality Integrator. He is also a certified MSCEIT-2 practitioner, and he has certified practitioners in more than 50 organizations across the United States and abroad.

He holds a Master of Science in Adult Education, concentration in Curriculum Design. That is the unglamorous reason nobody reported unclear instruction. Knowing an instrument and knowing how to teach it are two qualifications.

Twenty-five years across United States, EU, NATO and allied teams. SPHR, university communication professor, retired military officer.

Common questions

Is this the same certification as the more expensive ones?
Yes. It is issued by MHS, the publisher of the instruments, and carries the same license, the same Talent Assessment Portal access and the same continuing education credit. Other MHS-authorized providers publish $1,600 to $2,500 for the same two-day certification, and several publish no continuing education credit at all. Prices taken from their own published pages, August 2026.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The assessment, your report, the debrief, portal access, materials and the certificate are all included in the $777.
What continuing education does it earn?
16 ICF Continuing Coach Education hours, of which 9.25 are Core Competency. 14.5 SHRM Professional Development Credits. 14.5 ATD points toward APTD and CPTD. 14.5 APA CE credits.
Who is it for?
Coaches, HR and talent development professionals, OD consultants, therapists, educators, and military and government leaders who want to use emotional intelligence in their own practice rather than refer it out.
